What we collect

DataWhere it comes fromWhy
Meta user ID Meta Horizon platform A stable identifier for your account, so the game can tell players apart in a multiplayer session, know which cosmetic items you have purchased, and keep your earned progress associated with you.
Meta display name (Horizon username) Meta Horizon platform Shown above your character during matches so other players can see who they are playing with.
Voice audio Your headset microphone, while voice chat is active Transmitted live to other players in the same match. It is not recorded and not stored.
Game progress Created by playing Coins earned, unlocked items and appearance settings.

We do not collect your email address, your real name, your location, your payment details, or any biometric, camera, eye-tracking or hand-tracking data.

Where it is stored

Your game progress is stored on your headset. It is not uploaded to a server run by us. If you uninstall the game, that progress may be lost.

Your purchases are recorded by Meta, not by us. We ask Meta which items your account owns; we never store your payment information, and we never see it.

Who else receives it

Multiplayer and voice chat are provided by Exit Games, Inc. (Photon), 111 SW 5th Ave, STE 3150, Portland, Oregon 97204, USA. To place you in a match with other players, your user ID and display name are sent to Photon's service, and your voice audio passes through it while you are speaking. Photon processes this on our behalf. Their privacy policy is at photonengine.com/terms/privacyandcookiepolicy.

We also use the Meta Horizon platform itself, which is governed by Meta's own privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal data, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising or profiling. We do not combine it with data from outside the game.

How long we keep it

Game progress stays on your headset until you delete it or uninstall the game. Your user ID and display name are used while you are playing and are not retained in any separate database of ours. Voice audio is never stored.

Your choices and rights

Children

BOOM is intended for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

Our service providers are located in the United States. If you play from outside the United States, the limited data described above will be processed there.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continued play after a change means you accept the updated policy.
